Word on the Street: Rudsak Sale, High Park Cherry Blossoms, Ballet Fitness

Word on the Street highlights openings, closings and other happenings in Toronto. Do you know news? Clue us in at [email protected].

Just in time for leather jacket weather (at long last!), Montreal-based luxury fashion label Rudsak is having a sample sale this weekend, April 26–28, where you can shop women’s and men’s outerwear, bags and more.

Inspired by Earth Day to do your part? The Parkdale Roadrunners crew will be hosting its annual West Toronto Railpath Cleanup this Sunday, April 28, 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at Henderson Brewery (128 Sterling Road).

Heads-up to High Park runners: expect heavy foot traffic from the Instagramming hordes, as peak cherry blossom season is almost upon us.

Her Majesty’s Pleasure, the trendy Toronto spot for cuticle care and cocktails, will be opening its second mani/pedi bar this June, in Yorkville.

Also coming this summer: Chan Hon Goh, former National Ballet of Canada principal dancer and now director of the renowned Goh Ballet Academy in Vancouver, will open a Toronto location. Programming at her upcoming 7,000-square-foot space in Bayview Village will include adult drop-in classes, like Dance Fit and Ballet Body Conditioning.
