This recipe is perfect for after your workout. Why? It has the protein your muscles need to repair those micro muscle tears, and the berry and date combo is a sweet reward for your sweat sesh. Follow this, and you will have two smoothies – cut the recipe in half for a single drink. We had this smoothie after a HIIT/yoga fusion class at Afterglow Studio in Toronto’s Beaches neighbourhood.

- 2 cups dairy alternative (your choice)
- 1 ½ cups frozen strawberries (or any berry that you like)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 2 whole dates, pitted
- ½ scoop protein (Try Niyama Clean Plant Protein Powder)
Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend until smooth and serve.
